In another addition to my growing list of bloggers with travel stories, in this episode Chris Guillebeau get’s kicked out onto the street in a strange place with nowhere to go …

Best – so many! I tend to think of several things from the years we lived in Africa, but I also appreciated riding the train from Budapest to Prague in 2005. That was when I first had the idea of visiting 100 countries, which turned into going to every country in the world a couple years later.
Worst – it’s also hard to say, but I didn’t enjoy being evicted from a guesthouse in Mongolia last year. It was near midnight and I had just arrived on a flight from Korea. Right after unpacking my bags and getting ready to lie down, the guesthouse owner knocked on my door and told me I had to leave. There was a lot of confusion and a language barrier, but the short of it was that another foreigner had arrived who was apparently willing to pay more than me. I ended up on the street in Ulaan Bataar, a place I had never been, after midnight.
Of course, I ended up finding another place eventually, and the bright side of it was that I knew I’d get a good blog entry out of it.

That’s one good thing about being a blogger, when “interesting” things happen at least you get material for a good blog post!
