Today, BA have announced that for short-haul flights, they are not going to be serving any meals, apart from Breakfast.
No more food for you - go out and push!
The move, as BA says, is to cut costs and say an estimated £22m per year. Just like a B&B run by an evil old woman, if you don’t have a flight before 10am, all you get is nuts. If they really wanted to save costs, I would reckon they should replace these nuts with Quavers to save on fuel/weight costs.
BA are treating their food like they're buying 10 ton of pick and mix
It’s a desperate move for BA, who are challenging the low-budget airlines, apparently by following them with a sparse service.
What do you think about the move? Even if you could afford BA – would this put you off? Does this mean that the model of ‘luxury’ short-haul flights is over forever?
They're challenging Ryanair??
